Where does it come from?

Milk Thistle and Silymarin (the standardised extract) come from the seeds of the milk thistle.

What is it?

Milk thistle or Silymarin contains Silibinin which is the main active compound and an incredible anti-oxidant. Silibinin helps prevent and treat oxidative damage that occurs from the environment - basically it helps protect and repair the skin from UV or sun damage.

How do we use it?

We use Milk Thistle Extract in our formulas that seek to prevent sun damage and even out skin tone, as it provides potent antioxidant properties - similar to how you would typically use a Vitamin C. We combine it with Niacinamide to compound the effects of both when preventing sun damage, and also promoting even skin tone.
