Where does it come from?

Hemp Seed Oil is made from the hemp plant - Cannabis Sativa. Hemp is part of the same cannabis family as marijuana but it is not the same. Think of yourself in relation to your cousins. I'm betting you're not the same as your cousin (let's name her Mary-Jane), even though you share similarities.

What is it?

Hemp Seed Oil has a great fatty acid composition lead by alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3) and linoleic acid (omega-6). It also contains phospholipids, plant sterols, arginine + other amino acids, as well as tocopherol (vitamin E).

How do we use it?

We primarily use hemp seed oil in formulas for more mature skin, as it encourages firmer skin. Alpha-linolenic and linoleic acids are also great for oily skin types so we pop them into some formulas that also seek to promote better oil balance within the skin.
