Where does it come from?

Jojoba Oil isn't actually an oil but a wax that is liquid at room temperature. It's extracted from the seeds of the simmondsia chinensis plant.

What is it?

Jojoba Oil has loads of adoring fans. It has a unique composition that is close to your skin's own sebum (your skin's oil). It's a lightweight and fairly non-greasy oil that is incredibly stable (doesn't oxidise much over time).

How do we use it?

Jojoba Oil is great for use on dry skin to balance the feel of some of the heavier oils that are also great for dry skin. It may also aid in reducing transepidermal water loss (TEWL) - TEWL is a fancy way of saying the water your skin loses to the air around it. It's also great at restoring suppleness and elasticity to skin.
