Ingredients Resveratrol

Function in our formulas:

Where does it come from?

Resveratrol is usually produced biotechnologically by yeast, or can be extracted from the Japanese Knotweed.

What is it?

Ah, resveratrol, the excuse a lot of people use for their red wine consumption habits. Resveratrol is a famous natural polyphenol and antioxidant that can show anti-inflammatory, and anti-carcinogenic properties. It's particularly good at protecting from environmental damage and UV-caused oxidative stress - basically sun damage. It has also been shown to exhibit antibacterial properties against acne causing bacteria, and skin lightening properties.

How do we use it?

Resveratrol appears in our formulas that address sun damage, graceful ageing, and also breakout prevention. Typical usage is around 1% to achieve all of these benefits. We often combine it with other great antioxidants in these formulas.
