The Current Approach
Industry > You
The industry is built on hype products, formulas that fit you into a box, and extended ranges that fill shelf space.
This means that products are produced in tens of thousands of units at a time, designed to have 3 year shelf lives with questionable efficacy of sensitive ingredients. You're also left with overwhelming shelfies worth of wasted product that may or may not suit.
We thought - what if we flipped this on it's head?
- THE UPSIDE DOWN -
“What if we flipped this on its head?”
The August Approach
You > Industry
We believe you are unique and your skincare should be too.
We reversed the equation to put you before the industry. It's on us to make effective products that are formulated for your unique needs. Not the other way around.
We figured out a way to make tiny batches - just enough for you order - with just the ingredients you need at that point in time.
Best of all, this means you can tweak your formula from order to order to suit what you need out of it.
Use it to create a multi-purpose product. Use it to fill a gap in your routine. Use it to create the product that the industry never made for you.
- August No Fluff -
“It’s not all about your products.”
You ≠ Your Products
We're a skincare company preaching that it's not all about your products.
Nor is your value as a human being tied to how you look.
Healthy skin comes in lots of different forms, and beauty comes from your heart and your actions.
We firmly believe healthy skin starts from within and is reflective of your health, your genes, and your habits as a whole.
We'll never promise you miracle cures, because they don't exist
We solemnly swear to
- always continue learning and growing.
- always put your skin before our profits.
- always help you feel worthy.
- always fight for what is right.
We solemnly swear to
- never settle for the status quo.
- never act like one of the 'big brands'.
- never make promises we can't keep.
- never stop believing in YOU.
We would like to acknowledge and pay respects to the traditional owners of the land we work on, traditionally the home of the Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri peoples of the Kulin Nation. We would also like to pay our respects to elders past and present.
